Gita Samota is the fastest mountaineer to climb 2 peaks in two continents.
She couldn’t complete the expedition to Mt. Everst due to COVID-19.

On 11th Sept, her dream was partially achieved on Mount Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters MSL.
Before becoming the ‘fastest Indian’ to summit 2 peaks, she had scaled Mount Elbrus in Russia.
She is the fastest women to climb 2 mounts in 28 days.
Geeta joined CISF back in 2011 and started working with the unit in 2012.
Geeta’ had climbed Mt Satopanth (7075 meters; located in Uttarakhand) in 2019.
She also climbed Mt Lobuche in Nepal at 5642 mtrs.
She was part of the paramilitary team to climb Mt. Everest.
The climb was called off due to COVID-19.
